  • Mutual support: Each of us must show team spirit, kindness, and positivity. We do everything we can to support one another, whether it’s within our team or across departments.

Our CSR charter

As part of our mission, we’ve decided to make several commitments to Corporate Social Responsibility, such as environmental protection and employee well-being. Read all about it in our brochure.

Our main CSR commitments

Climate change, environmental preservation, and resource management all need to be addressed. One of the goals for 2030 is to reduce the carbon footprint associated with our activities by 80% while also developing carbon sinks to absorb the remaining 20% as close to our sites as possible. This is what we refer to as ‘net zero carbon’.

Walibi et le Net Zéro Carbone, une importance capitale pour notre entreprise et notre mascotte

Walibi is committed to an energy management system with the goal of achieving ISO 50001 certification in 2026. This strategy involves all employees: we have decided to train and raise awareness among our teams about more sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.

Our water park is powered by renewable solar energy, thanks to the 4,700 photovoltaic panels installed on our roofs and car park. By decarbonising our energy supply, we have taken an important step towards achieving net zero carbon.

Walibi Belgium and Aqualibi have started a small revolution. Each department works to reduce waste at the source. Everyone sorts the remaining waste.

Walibi est fier de l'attitude des équipes face au tri

Here are some examples of recent actions taken at Walibi Belgium - Aqualibi:

  • No more single-use plastic cups: we’ve switched to reusable ones.
  • No more disposable water bottles: each employee must bring their own reusable water bottle.
  • No more disposable coffee cups: employees use mugs.
  • Reduced disposable tableware: reusable tableware is now available in half of our restaurants. Installation of bat boxes, insect hotels, and beehives to enhance biodiversity.
  • Replacing traditional cleaning products with more environmentally friendly alternatives wherever possible.

At Walibi Belgium, Aqualibi and Compagnie des Alpes, the group we are part of, we believe that every accident can and must be prevented. That is why we launched our Zero Accident Ambition, known internally as AZA.

AZA is about turning safety – for our teams and our visitors – into a natural reflex in everything we do. Not as an extra point of attention, but as a real priority in our day-to-day work. Why aim for zero accidents? Because we are convinced that every accident can be avoided. This approach concerns everyone, whatever their role or level within the company. Several initiatives are already in place to support this ambition, including working groups, a dedicated safety moment at the start of every meeting, communication campaigns, training sessions and more.

Since 2022, CDA has trained more than 1,000 managers from its leisure parks and ski areas in the Zero Accident Ambition approach.
